About Us


Big Fish Missions and Big Fish Dive Team are Non-Denominational Christian Missions Ministries founded and operated by missionaries, Todd Smith and John Willis. After serving together on mission trips to Miami and Haiti, both of us desired to seek a way to become more involved in God's mission work. After spending time in prayer and seeking God's direction, Big Fish Missions was created. Our focus is to network with missionaries and churches of various Christian denominations and post their work and opportunities for you, the "fishers of men", to see. Big Fish Dive Team plans to incorporate mission work with the opportunity to enjoy and marvel in God's Creation under the Seas. Big Fish Missions was started in 2005 and is a registered 501c3 non-profit. We do not have any paid director or staff positions and all of the profits from merchandise sales and/or donations goes directly to the mission work we are involved in. Our current all volunteer Board of Directors are:

    We believe that Jesus Christ has called all Christians to be "fishers of men" (Matthew 4:19) and if we are obedient to that call, unlike Jonah, we can avoid the belly of a "BIG FISH" (Jonah 1:17).

    Our Mission
    The Great Commission given to us by Christ,"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this:I am with you always, even to the end of the ages" -Matthew 28:19-20

    Our Statement of Faith
    We Believe...
    ...the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God
    ...there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost
    ...the only means of being cleansed from sin and receive salvation is through belief, repentance and accepting Jesus Christ into our hearts (John 14:6)
    ...the suffering of Christ on the cross, His death and His Glorious Resurrection were all done for you and I because He loves us(John 3:16)
    ...through Christ, God gives us a new heart so that we may live an Abundant Life in Him(John 10:10)-the Glory of God is man Fully Alive!

    Our Vision
    1. Establish a network of churches and missionary opportunities from a variety of Christian denominations . This will allow users to view mission works all across the seven seas. This website is designed to enable a way for churches and missionaries to share contacts and information throughout the world.

    2. Promote opportunities for Christians to share their faith in a unique and bold way by wearing Big Fish Missions Gear. Just as sharks rely on stealth to seek out their prey, our logo is designed for "Stealth Evangelization".

    3. Bring people together for mission work and scuba diving-giving the opportunity to serve God and take pleasure in the underwater world He created.
